The QUEST 4D GTX FORCES 2 is one of Salomon's most popular operational boots due to its flexibility: it combines the stability and grip of a mountain boot with the flexibility to also manage sprints or shorter running distances. This operational capability makes the Quest a modern operational boot for the official and military sector.
The Anti Debris Mesh material combined with the full grain leather results in an extra durable and flexible top layer that is non-reflective. With the GORE-TEX® membrane underneath, the shoe becomes a companion in all weather conditions. The 3D rubber toe cap and rubber heel counter protect the foot from impact and make it very comfortable for use on gravel or rough terrain. The SensiFit™ system wraps the foot from the midsole to the classic lacing system for a secure, snug and nearly custom fit around the foot. On the inside, the shoe is reinforced with an additional material to support it during climbing and fast rappelling.
Of course, the most important thing in a multifunctional operational boot is the highly technological sole construction. In addition to the insertion of the anti-puncture Enigma Zero HT2 insole, Salomon relies here on a proven combination. The Contagrip® MD outsole provides non-slip grip on the mountain, the 4D chassis for stability while walking and the Energy Cell midsole for optimal cushioning and performance. Finally, the OrthoLite® sockliner in the shoe provides a comfortable fit and additional cushioning, while the perforations in the sole support the foot's climate.
