The Wolverine Pilots Knife (WPK) is an extremely robust work and outdoor knife and is Eickhorn's modern interpretation of the crosscut knife "flying personnel". Here, a number of required components were reduced, an ergonomic plastic handle and modern materials were introduced. These modifications result in a universal companion for all occasions. The tang of the blade made of stainless 1.4110 steel (HRC 54-56) runs through the entire handle and peeks out at the rear end. This allows the end of the handle to be used for hammering or breaking window glass. To increase corrosion resistance and at the same time make it easier to maintain the blade, the entire surface has been ceramic blasted, which also prevents stronger reflections. The fiberglass reinforced nylon handle with finger guards on both sides is extremely easy to grip and provides a good grip even with wet hands and gloves. The knife comes with a sturdy leather sheath with belt loop.
